Its slim design - only 3.5 inches accommodates more powerful actuator, resulting in breakthrough access times while significantly reducing power consumption and required cooling. When connecting exclusively Wide Ultra2 devices and controllers, data transfer rates are nearly doubled, allowing connection of more devices to a single controller without regard for the bus bandwidth. This drive incorporates LVDS technology, which enables longer cable lengths and faster speeds. Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) feature can provide advanced warning of an impending drive failure when used with the appropriate software (such as Netfinity Manager), ensuring data accuracy and high reliability.
